November Altenew color challenge.

My card making has been ongoing but my ability to post has been terrible. Time to change that!
I’ve been busy organizing a new craft room and finally got my groove back. Who knew that organization promotes creativity for me!
I’m starting out with a color challenge from Altenew.  Since I have so many of their products it seems like a good place to start.  https://wp.me/p6Dps1-gXF. This is the link to the challenge.
The colors are:
I love the colors of fall.

Here is my take on the photo.  I used the plaid background A and B. The flowers are from the craft a flower set called Carolina Allspice.  I used the card stock from my stash. I don’t throw away pieces, I use them for times when I have small dies cuts like this. I was surprised how quickly this came together. It isn’t my normal color group but it turned out beautiful. The thanks work die was part of the set as well so l felt it worked perfectly.

Indian chief stampin up cards

These stamps from Stampin Up really are amazing! The detail of the image is so great! I lived in South Dakota during my childhood days and knew about the Sioux and Lakota Indians. When I graduated, I spent some time in New Mexico where the Navajo Indians lived so turquoise reminds me of them. I stamped the images on watercolor paper and colored them with distress ink. The dream catcher is a Elizabeth Craft designs. I cut four layers to the circle to give it dimension and the inner part has two layers. I used Nuvo drops on turquoise string instead of the paper die cuts. Using real feathers and turquoise accents really made these cards.

Stampin up Wild West cowboy cards

Finding the right card for men can be a real challenge. Making one is even more so for me as I love to design with florals and glitter😁. I knew when I saw these stamps that I had hit the jackpot! They came together so easy. I stamped the images on watercolor paper and used distress inks to watercolor them. The burlap and leather like paper added texture and the rusty stars really finished them off.  I didn’t stop at just one card, I made 24 total! Even though they are the same design, because of the process of individual painting, they all came out with their own personality.
